What if you had all of the wealth in the world, but no one to share it with?

What if you had it all,

Holding the riches of the world,

Yet no one to share it with?

Bones sturdy as broken glass,

Roaming aimlessly through life.

What is wealth’s worth?

Live within your means?

Make more money.

Live within your means.

Break more boundaries.

Live past your station.

Arrogance bred by comfort,

Forgetting past struggles.

How many years would it take —

True colors shown through time?

Poor as dirt, rich like soil.

Were you always this alone?

Voices drifting, past regrets,

Nothing like what you dreamed.

Balancing both finance and family

Work — work is all you know.

What is retirement?

Conditioned for labor,

An animal tamed by the dollar.

Dreams put aside, all for a chance —

A house, a wedding, a kid.

Can’t afford a life without the means.

Can’t afford the means while satiating hunger.

Experiencing life to the fullest?

Fine to try.

Excel and be forgotten.

Failure, remembered forever.

The duality is infuriating.

Grown ups running the world.

Children our for cutthroat survival.

Thousands of lifetimes spent searching.

Generations bettering existence.

Too many people to carry.

Wealthy to a point.

Lost and never found.

Climb — climb until limbs give out.

Member, Leader, VP, CEO,

Never enough, never satisfied.

What was the wealth worth,

Wealthy with love or money?

What length of time do you have left?

Will you bask in your earned glory?

No, probably not.

No — likely riches passed down,

Given to those who can’t understand.

You worked for that chance,

They inherited it.

A vicious cycle,

The hungry, the greedy, those dead inside —

Wealth’s worth unknown.
